Here’s currently what is happening at the Eco-station over the next few months so please do come along. Please keep checking this page for the latest updates on events.

February

9th February (Saturday)- Bird walk
Free guided bird walk of Bordon Inclosure  and the Deadwater Valley Local Nature Reserve.  The walk will be lead by Eco-town Countryside ranger, with help from the RSPB North East Hampshire Group.

On the tour, you are likely to see finches, tits, thrushes and maybe even a heron or egret near the River Wey.

 At this time of the year there is also the opportunity to see many birds that have migrated from Scandinavia, such as fieldfares, redwings and waxwings.

Please meet at the Eco-station at 8.30am. Arriving back at the Eco-station at approximately 10.15am for hot drinks and cake.

9th February (Saturday)- Money saving tips 
A driving simulator will be at the Eco-station, showing drivers how they may be able to use less petrol.
It is estimated that putting this tips into practice can reduce your fuel bills by as much as 10%!
As well as this, pick up some energy-saving tips. The event runs from 10am until 1pm. This is another chance to tour the zero-carbon Exhibition House and view the fun-packed Exhibition.

 

March

9th March (Saturday) -Climate Week: chickens, seed swap and save water
To celebrate the national campaign, there will be plenty of free fun activities for children and adults on offer at the Eco-station.
See and handle chickens, ducks and turkeys, and learn how to keep chickens of your very own! Bring along your seeds and swap it for other plants! Have a go on an interactive game to see how you can save water!
The event runs between 10am and 1pm.

 

April

13th April (Saturday)- Eco-fit surgery open!
Energy-saving information will be on offer, in a dedicated room with interactive measures.
Also, it is another chance to view the fun-packed exhibition and tour the zero-carbon Exhibition House. The event will run between 10am and 1pm.

 

 

May

11th May (Saturday)- Guided walk
This starts and finishes at the Eco-station. More information will be available nearer the time.

 

 

June

 

22nd June (Saturday)- Dr Bike
Bring your bike along and get it serviced for free! The event will run between 10am and 1pm.
There are likely to be more activities to celebrate cycling- more details will be availble nearer the time.
