Have your say on the future of Viking Park
On January 10, 2011
Come and have your say on the future development of Viking Park on Tuesday January 18.
The consultation is part of the feasibility study which is looking at uses for the site. The consultants carrying out the study are PRP Architects.
The event is from 10am – midday at the Woodlark restaurant on Petersfield Road . There will be an opportunity to talk to consultants, look at an exhibition and fill out a questionnaire.
The exhibition will stay at the Woodlark from Tuesday 18th until Saturday 22nd January and there will be questionnaires available at the venue during this time. You don’t need to buy anything at the restaurant if you want to visit the exhibition.
There is also an opportunity to walk around the site on Saturday January 22. This is at 11am and if you would like to take part then please email or phone in advance.
The email is whitehillbordon@easthants.gov.uk or phone 01730 234329.
There will be two other consultation events about the site over the next six months. These will be in April and June.
The April event will present options for the site and will be another opportunity for residents to have their say.
Volunteers are also needed to form a focus group. This group will have two meetings, one in February and one in May, to receive further updates as work on the feasibility study progresses.
Cllr Andrew Joy, portfolio holder for Whitehill Bordon, said: “Community consultation is our priority and I urge residents to come to these events and help us with this important study.”
For more information about the consultation or to complete the questionnaire please visit www.whitehillbordon.com . The questionnaire will be on the website from the 18th January.
